Status Updates From Lost Hearts in Italy

I love the premise of this but my GOD it is slow and full of drivel! The actual happenings of the plot are only barely starting now and I am halfway through the book. Also...the author writes a Lot about different races (notably Black and Chinese characters) in a way that reads offensive. Also all the characters are terrible and yet I fear I must finish it anyways.
