Just two gals with secrets and traumas crossing several countries in search of a mythical beetle. Got me hooked from the start. It does not shy from death. Main character definitely has anxiety and a touch of the tism. I relate.

Loving it so far. Rachel Joyce is a master at creating weird and wonderful characters with peculiar quirks who are masking deep pain and suffering. Laugh-out-loud moments interspersed with trauma and grief. The epitome of Be kind to all because everyone has their own story to tell.
