Lynch jumping around. Mixing useless points and worthless repetitive info within paragraphs. Using Spanish unnecessarily to sound smart, for words that are common, then uses colloquial and particular-to-Argentina Spanish words with no explanation of what they mean. I'm shaking my head reading this book. Love the chapter on "the blacks" and their "orgies" of music and dance. Keep it classy, Lynch.

Ugh. Lynch is a terrible writer. It gets worse as it goes along. The repetition. The introduction of new facts in the middle of an explanation of a prior fact, completely disrupts the narrative being built, and with absolutely no explanation of what said interruption is. Just awful.

End of C1. I'm sure this is one of the best books on Rosas, but it leaves me feeling dissatisfied. The writing is often non-linear and repetitive. If taking notes, it's often more logical to not group by the order presented in the book. Too many things repeated based on previously stated general facts and opinions. I can construct a narrative from the reading, but it's a struggle.
