Man a lotta romance writers could take notes from this. Love to see a love interest whose not just a perfect romantic object for the main characters affection. Love that he has a life and priorities of his own that have nothing to do with the main girl, and that he has his own boundaries he enforces even when the main girl doesn’t like it. Wish more romance writers could manage that much, not that the bar is high
