The logic of the futuristic tech of this book is hilariously of-its-time, but the slutty French bisexual AI man is too compelling for me to stop reading

Ok this one is good

I guess giving your investigator memory problems is one way to write mystery.

Just now, this very second, learned that this is a trilogy.

Now we've moved from mystery into a spy/thriller/heist situation. Truly some Mission Impossible shit going down.

"You could walk back into that room, she thought, and her heart flew up in her chest like a bird breaking cover in front of the gunsights."

“What do you want me to do, say pretty please?”

“You’re magnificent. Why is it that the bigger the favor you’re asking for, the more unpleasant you become?”

Totally into the weird relationship between the AI and his ex.

I feel like this book is skipping over important shit. Like suddenly we're going to meet a guy who wants A TOOTH to confirm Li's identity and at no point do I remember them discussing this plan or what they hope to get out of it, and this isn't the first time, like when we went to talk to Louie, and I was like Louie who, and did a text search and there was no earlier mention of him. Are they wiping my memory too?
