so far, the author’s critiques of wahhabism are mostly based on KSA’s “funding of militant groups”, which is what i should’ve expected reading a book from an orientalist perspective… I might drop this and find another book that *actually* refutes wahhabism from a purely Sunni standpoint; detailing into how it deviates from traditional methodologies in usul al-fiqh, etc.
