I just bought a print copy not just as a book trophy but because of the sheer number of friends I need to lend it to. I’ve waited a long time for someone to come along and call out the obvious theorizing and imposition of false ideological structures upon the history of humanity. Graeber and Wengrow deliver with evidence from diverse cultures, elevating indigenous voices, and busting patriarchal assumptions.

I love this book, but it’s gonna take me a while. I’m enjoying it being an audiobook but I hope to get it used so I can be with it whenever I want. Currently using Libby!
