Status Updates From Wizard's First Rule (Sword ...

Only a little over halfway through, and I’ve known these are the most skimmable 363 (soon to be 573) pages I’ve read in a long while.

I need someone to tell me where the author pulls these names from. On the one hand you have Darken Rahl (M), Shota (F), and Kahlan (F)—all names with a dotted, red underline btw. And on the other, you have Richard, Rachel, Carl, Sara, etc. etc.

I now have to question, why the heck am I reading this book? Oh, right. Someone is making me. Thank goodness they aren’t on Goodreads.
-1 star for plot
-1 star for characters
-1 star for being spice soup (is this where the term spice comes from?)
-1 star for having beef with the author. Goodkind is neither.

Why is this book 670 pages long??

This book is pretty 6-7. I have nearly read a number of pages equal to Harry Potter book 1. If this was Harry Potter, Harry just got on the Hogwarts express — and nothing interesting has happened til now. This book is wayy too long.

This book is awesome, and Richard’s story is getting intense.
