Status Updates From Deset ljubavi gospodina Nis...

Not to be that guy but.. yay for Nishino dying!! Again, I ask myself, how can women love this man who is so self-admittedly a terrible person. Do they each think they will be different? Is that what it is? Also, this story just gave me unsettled feelings, considering Ai is just 18 and Nishino is 55 yet he doesn’t seem to hold any maturity at all, compared to her. Yet she stays? Why?

Sayuri is a much older lady.. not necessarily cheating on her husband, but having an emotional affair with Nishino. She tried to explain the reason women love him, because he’s “perfect”, and does the smallest things with “perfection”, however, I still don’t understand. Maybe I have more self respect than to wait on the phone with a man telling me about his other conquests. Ew.

Why does the author keep trying to make me feel bad for Nishino. He’s obviously self-aware “I know there’s something wrong with me”, but he makes no effort to change because he’s “scared”. Grow up dude? You’re almost 40 and you’re still playing the same games you were as a child! He is actually insufferable. I wish Maow didn’t leave, so Erik could realise she didn’t need Nishino after all..

I liked this chapter.. but why would she ruin her friendship to bang a guy she doesn’t even seem to like???? Her and Subaru had a good friendship (could’ve been more, *sigh*)- they were each other’s opposites. I also got to see more of the human side of Nishino in this chapter, but I still hate him. I notice how this coincided with other women in his life. Dodgy.

I appreciate that she had the strength to leave him, despite thinking that she loved him. He’s a womaniser and a cheater and an overall terrible person. Plus, she clarified that the sex, in fact, was not great. So what is it about him? I feel bad about his sister, that adds some complexity to his character but at the end of the day, it doesn’t excuse his behaviour.
