Her point on refraining from immediately asking someone about romantic relationships is very powerful and perhaps my favorite one. Honestly, it reflects a deeply internalised male-centricity to open up a conversation with your friend by enquiring about the welfare of a man. Why not ask her about herself first. Very reflective.
