Status Updates From The Lost Duchess of Greyden...

The underlying mystery of Caroline’s fate & who is messing with Vanessa is entertaining, but then the story pauses every 10 pages for Vanessa to nag Richard about not caring for his dead wife’s bastard daughter. STFU & leave the guy alone long enough to let the healing develop of its own accord. 🙄 Sorry, but you can’t just shove Sarah’s coat under his nose & command him to love her.

Decent beginning, but has become a bit dull & repetitive. Hopefully it picks up again—I hate when books waste an intriguing start. 😶

‘Whatever Caroline had been doing in the North Tower, it could have been beneficial only to her. It pained me to think of my sister in such harsh terms, but I had always been a realistic person. It seemed that Caroline had not changed. The woman who told her little girl that babies were an awful bother was the same woman who had struck her little sister for smelling her scent bottles.’ ….Indeed. 🙈

Every five minutes, this heroine's inner monologue kicks in, insisting that the hero does indeed love her. -.- And why wouldn't he? Only after a 10 year absence(and him marrying her sister), and their last meeting during her adolescence, they've known one another a whole week. ;*)

OK, this chick has been in love with the hero since she was 13 years old. He marries her sister(What a huge F-U), sister dies. He returns to propose, needs someone to raise his kid. OK, he has an evil twin brother and a sister, whom nobody has ever heard of. On their wedding night he blows her off! TEN FREAKIN' YEARS OF WANTING AND WAITING..AND NOTHING? OH HELL NO! Someone would get RAPED!!

I'm actually enjoying this so far.. its a mystery as to who is trying to scare her..I have my theories so far..
