The number of characters in the book and how they’re interlinked is very confusing. I find myself going back to previous chapters to figure out who is who and what their connections are to other people which I still don’t fully understand. It seems like a lot happening and it’s hard to follow. The content of the book is very good though, and I love the ‘off-guard’ endings in each chapter.

The timeline of events in Remi’s story confused me. I wasn’t sure whether the classroom scene with Wunmi and Solape was occurring in the past or present until the end of that chapter. I don’t think the author does a great job of describing things as it’s been difficult trying to picture scenes/scenarios in my head.

I’m not sure I fully understand what’s going on yet especially regarding the abrupt changes from one story line to another even though the stories are somewhat connected by Adaoma being the main character in each of them.

The first story had me hooked immediately but I’m kinda confused by the ending. Did Adaoma fake her death bc she felt bad seeing Fodo at the market or was Fodo hallucinating orrrrr… anyway still very engagingly written and excited to read the rest of the stories
