I am now in the Book of Job. I think this is my favourite book of the Bible so far. I find it fascinating that people who lived millennia ago had the same feelings, difficulties, and struggles with living as we do today. They asked back then and we still ask now, if God is a just and loving God, then why am I being treated unjustly now?

It’s interesting how the narrative in Nehemiah has switched to first person POV.

I just finished the book of Ezra. What an upsetting ending having all Jewish men who married foreign wives and sending them away with their children. Such a harsh judgement. But then after reading both books of Kings and both books of Chronicles, it is clear that the Old Testament Israelites were a harsh people with Kings killing each other and their families. How many times they lost faith between the generations.
