I love these moments when the characters say something like « wait this doesn’t seem right … » it’s like a puzzle

These chapters were honestly hard to get through because of how disturbing they are. The moment he locked Eliza in the shed for hours completely shocked me, even though, deep down, I wasn’t surprised. From the very first time the shed was introduced, it felt ominous, like it had a darker purpose. Eliza’s reality is being shaped in such a cruel way, which is so heartbreaking to witness. I'm terrified but interested.

These chapters were honestly heartbreaking. You can really feel the isolation both Eliza and Lauren are going through, and it’s unsettling how similar their situations are. Both experienced a mental health crisis and are now stuck in the house with the kids, while Richard/Paul controls and manipulates everything they do. It really shows how deep the emotional and psychological abuse runs.
