Haven’t finished a book in like a month, gonna finish this one by tomorrow. First chapter is amazing and I like the structure of the book thus far although it may be too meta

One of the strangest books I've ever read, hard to get into. Seems like it will keep introducing new first chapters of books and then stopping and moving onto the next first chapter of a new story. Lots of introspection, some great writing full of emotion. You are the reader at some points, the main character at others, akin to a book cutter, slicing through pages, searching for a certain book at others.

I’m not bought in which feels like the point of this book. Almost an experiment testing if reading is mostly for the plot pay off or if good writing along the way can make it worth it. I’m guessing this isn’t the best introduction to Calvino.
