Status Updates From Shakespeare and the Goddess...

Stressing that Shakespeare lived in times that were strongly religious and hence religious/mythic symbolism would have been more immediate/obvious and not quaint. Seems to ignore the usual take that the Catholic vs. Protestant conflict was equally about power politics.
