Part II of this gritty thriller.

Complicated. But in the end a decent police procedural. Not sure I’d listen to another one but I’d probably read one.

Now it’s taking off. In some ways this is a realistic police investigation and in other ways it’s a completely inept investigation but that might be because of what I’m used to reading and watching on tv. Still struggling with the Scottish accent and slang. And I didn’t love the random 2 chapters from the dead women’s POV. It feels out of place. I know the why of it but it could’ve been done better.

Surely cops in Glasgow in the late 1960’s weren’t that bloody stupid!

Between the Scottish accent of the narrator and the Scottish slang I’m having trouble following it sometimes. Also still not a lot happening critters are two very different crimes running at the same time. This may be because it’s going to an ongoing series.
