The useless, condescending bitch “Beth” reminds me so much of our own experiences with an awful therapist who refused to hold Jeremiah accountable. Everything he did was our (MY) fault and he held no responsibility for his choices.

Based on my own experience with Reactive Attachment Disorder, the author is very clearly glossing over the down and dirty details. I get the slow build that she’s going for though. It’s like she’s hitting the highlights of key behavioral moments that lead up to the realization that RAD is making the kid batshit crazy but no one else will believe it.
