There is nothing Michael writes that isn’t fantastic. It is love and hate all in one. You are rooting for Natan and Julia and at the same time have this boiling rage and hatred for the nazis and their atrocious deeds. The way michael can make you feel love, hope, joy, resentment, hate, anger all in one sentence and throughout the book is incredible.
