I did not expect this to be a Deleuzian critique of prior structuralist frameworks for analysing weird fiction. Cisco is absolutely smashing Todorov apart, accusing him of psychologising an genre concerned with epistemology. In other words, he's accusing him of recapturing irrationality back into rational forms, but the point of weird fiction is to break with limits, not reinscribe them. Very cool, Mr Cis.
