Terry Pratchett meets Pippi Long stocking in a magical, wonderful soup of mythology, hoodoo and the kind of magic that only New Orleans can summon. I have a feeling that I will everything this author writes slooowly, savoring every word.

The setting of this book, the world, is my favorite of any book I have ever read. It’s like if New Orleans was Halloweentown but ratchet the seriousness up and I just… it has my whole heart. There are certain scenes and descriptions that feel like they were written for my maximum possible delight.
