Status Updates From Le Dit du Genji

Murasaki's obsessed with reminding us every few pages of how handsome Genji is... I think she's getting to the point where she's realizing it, to the point she's now saying "I won't remind you again of how handsome he is". But I doubt this is the last we'll hear of it.

we're in for the long haul, boy, i haven't even made it out of the intro yet but i know despite having read The World of the Shining Prince twice, seeing what the translator thinks is necessary to understand (including how he translated certain aspects) is going to pay dividends especially as Morris assumed you'd read Waley's very dated translation.
