Status Updates From Avengers. Tom 2: Dookoła św...

Red another issue, and it felt so much longer than an average issue but in a good way!

So much happened! With Namor and his Defenders of the Deep, with the Winter Guard being reformed, the Squadron Supreme being introduced, and Odin drunkenly attacking Ghost Rider, shit got done in this one!

I don’t know, this run has been pretty enjoyable so far. At least T’Challa is actually well written and respected.

Also, after Stingray says he’s one of Namor’s oldest friends from the surface works, Namor says he has no friends from the surface world, not anymore, but then he goes ahead and affords Steve the opportunity to state his case.

I suppose he has more respect for Rogers than he did Stingray, as well as knowing that warring with the Avengers without assembling him team first would’ve been a mistake.

Entertaining!

Decided to read one more issue, and holy shit, Namor was badass! Brutally strong, antagonistic, full of conviction… just all around a great representation of the character.

We got to see the formation of the Defenders of the Deep! And RIP Stingray! No idea who he was as a character before this but he looked cool! I was introduced to him and he was taken away so quickly, just in the span of a couple pages.

Read the first two issues, pretty good so far! More backstory on the prehistoric avengers, specifically the first ever Ghost Rider.

Back in the present day, however, I’m a big fan of most of the team’s dynamics. They address She-Hulk’s extra Gamma situation with an excuse decent enough with me. Despite the changes to her character, I’ll have to make peace with it so might as well early on.
