I don’t understand the choice of having Marcus be so adamant about coming across as a dumb guy.

Also, when you remind yourself both of these characters are almost 40 it doesn’t work as well

I mean it’s a little cringey, but also cutie

I forgot that I read this already, but I am reading the rest of the series so I need this lil reminder of what happened in book 1
