I am feeling scared for Cole- or pre-lonely? I don’t want Edwin and Garvey to leave.

COLE HAS NO REASON TO BE THIS ANGRY 😭

I was getting annoyed with Cole again, so I was grateful for Garvey and Edwin to tell Cole they were going back to Minneapolis. That put the fear in Cole to do better. I appreciate the recognition of deep breathes to calm oneself. It reminds me to focus on my breathing when anxious or stressed.

So far, the character Cole is really getting on my nerves man! There is no redemption 😭

Interested in seeing how Cole grows on the island time take 2

I appreciate Garvey and Edwin. I am glad that Cole has changed and his mom is making progress as well.

Cole has grown and is determined to tell the truth from now on. That makes me happy. :) I also appreciate Garvey and Rosey. I still really like that name- that memory sticking with me from the 5th grade.

Cole annoys me greatly. I am pleased that the Bear and his situation might finally be teaching him something. Not sure how he lives through this mauling though.

I remember liking this book when we read it as a class in the 5th grade. It has been a hot second since then and I wanted to reread it. I am wondering how Cole is going to turn around.
