Corporations can and do make pledges to not destroy the planet and then don’t do anything to achieve them…….
Like I don’t want to be a hater but brother they’re already doing this and lying 😫 they should be doing it for real and I get that that’s what he’s saying but 🥴

He’s so optimistic. I agree with the thesis in theory but god even this excellent argument can’t fully convince me that corporations work for the common good

Once again I must quote a Hyphen song: “Some old people discovered Facebook and the consequence was Brexit, but the NHS is so rich now I’m sure they won’t regret it 🙄🤡”

Also why is a tech company running experiments on the public?? What right do they have??

Crazy that three random guys popularized the thing that’s ruined basically every single thing I buy in my whole life. I hate them for real 👍🏻

Is my dad the reincarnation of Henry Ford?? The ideas around pay workers well and expect hard work are like direct quotes I’ve heard ad nauseam growing up lol. Except papá has the union take care of all that for him lol

Well they certainly found riches. “India was rich as fuck until Britain came but growing up all you hear is: we gave them trains.”

I know this book is about corporations but this really flattens the culture and politics of Florence during the Renaissance :/ and it doesn’t matter bc that’s not what it’s about but still

Ah actually that’s not a wrong assumption: in America legally corporations must act in the interests of the shareholders-which in theory should mean making a good product and treating customers right so they keep coming back but in practice usually ends up fucking the customer for a single monthly gain and ruining the company in the long run 🤡
