the enchantment short story was actually garbage. characters were flat, there were a LOT of incomplete sentences that did not serve a purpose or style, the narrative was all over the place with unnecessary elements. one more short story in this collection, but it is safe to say I will not be reading more of their works after this

actually reading this version whoops

finished the “things have gotten worse since we lost spoke” portion of the book, it was interesting and I liked the email/instant messenger thing going on. the writer was a bit redundant at times and wasn’t consistent about the tense being used. obvious this is an amateur writer, but i don’t mind too much. the ending of this portion was kinda boring/lackluster tho. the rest was disturbing and not the ending
