Well, being involved in self help culture makes sense. Another misrepresentation of feminism. This book continues to be full of misunderstandings followed by preaching.

So switching from perfectininsm to thinking you're worthless without your flavor of religion? Again, she does point out some harmful elements of soceity. However, her fix makes it worse and drags us backward.

So much to unpack. Seems fond of the prosperity gospel, which funnels money into the hands of preachers instead of those that could use it. Harris now despises his book I Kissed Dating Goodbye because its harmful. More trans panic. What's frustrating is that at a few points, she almost gets it. She almost describes intersectionality then says that people assign points to it.

I think all of her examples are either poorly misunderstood or are the usual growing pains of trying to figure out oneself. Some ideas of self and pursuits are shallow. It seems that Christianity is the first philosophy that stuck for better or worse. However, she foudn the conservative, judgemental one. I do not think that this is healthier. I hope everyone mentioned in this book gets the help they need.
