This chapter is more mental than physical. It states that when knowing yourself and the enemy, you will succeed in 100 battles, knowing the enemy but not yourself, you will succeed half the time, knowing neither, you will succumb to every battle.
What this means is that knowing yourself is just as important as knowing the enemy. Self reflectance is just as important as planning and preparation.
