This psuedo-Christianity that many of the characters adhere to is grating. At first, I hoped that it was the author's tribute to the Lord Jesus Christ. But it is not. I then began to suspect it was intended as a mockery.

At this point, I'm not really sure. It seems more like a cheap imitation than anything.

If, however, it persists to the point of irreverence or blasphemy I will be forced to abandon the book.

Again, it starts out very slow- too slow, really. I'm already halfway through, and I have far more questions than answers.

*But* I can appreciate a slow build up, especially now that the pace is picking up a bit.

Simon is so annoying to me that I think I will dnf and return this book. I’ll maybe give it a few more chapters, I really expected to like this but I aggressively hate it so far
