We started with with prologue of the story and murder in prologue. We are introduced to David and his parents are on vacation when we open this book. David is called out to a crime scene. We want to know who killed Lisa Ramsey.

Another example of the fat bias: the potential love interest of one character is a cop, as is the fat one described earlier. But the love interest has a nice figure, eats double cheeseburgers, milkshakes, and pizza with everything on it, but never gains an ounce. She isn't described as a glutton, but as a woman who doesn't worry about her waistline. It's beginning to bug me.

Minor flaws in editing, but I like the characters and the ongoing relationships over the series. I don't, however, like the way the author shows fat people as negative characters, going into detail about their appearance and personality flaws, as if their weight makes them not worth anything.
