I won't be reading the other 5 books. I couldn't even finish the first one. I didn't like the main characters. She was supposed to be 45 years old but she behaved like a teenager!

I'm actually reading a multi volume set, but since the books are full length, I'm claiming them one at a time...if I stick with the series. Lots of grammar mistakes so far.

I thought the concept was darling. Kong is the talking familiar with the attitude of a disdainful butler , and his human is an archivist discovering her witchy powers, with a new twist. Her globe trotting Uncle has sent a precious gift of an amulet, and all Francie seems to do is misuse it, even as she tries to clear her name from the murder which happened under her nose in the Archive stacks.
