I’m happy Alex decided definitively that he wants to MARRY Theo. He was there before the kiss, and he’s 200% there after the kiss. He’s a good guy.

It's subtle, the attraction, but wrly humorous too. I'm amazed at how accomodating and humble Alex is. She must be very pretty though he doesn't dwell on it. Why else would a man of his position accept the way she's been treating him? Even if he wasn't the Duke?
