Ugh. Maybe it’s Thorn I don’t like. Or this aspect of his personality at least. It’s terrible. If you’re going to make a character constantly debase himself then this isn’t the way. Lindon from Cradle? THAT is the way to create a character who constantly apologizes. But if Thorn apologizes one more time for shit ain’t his fault? I’m gonna lose it. Where are THEIR apologies? I am doing my best here. Because I believe the story will get better as it goes. But the fact that I hate 60% of his party (Mina, Vellum, and Jorge) makes it really hard. Especially Mina. She can die in a fire. And it’s been quite a while since I finished book 2 and the dislike is still EXTREME. Not sure I’m going to be able to finish this series :(
