Ok look I’m not against sex scenes but so far in this book there have been like 4 or 5 of those, and only one very brief non-sex scene. Like if I wanted to watch people I don’t care about do improbable sec acts without any narrative, there are other genres of media available!

Of all the books this is the first established couple and as such it feels as though they have the most to lose. The threat to their happiness hasn’t even arrived on page yet and I’m already suffering low level anxiety.

DNF at 18%

Not for me. Way too different from the rest of the series (which is typically very funny and lovely and romantic). This one, not so much, and at 50 pages in, I can’t imagine it getting better.
