Seriously, I am genuinely overjoyed at the inadvertent representation of a DID system. We know that the author's intentions weren't to make them so, but they did an incredible job. There are no harmful stereotypes, and they're treated like anyone else, not a monster.

Can't believe we are ¾ of the way done. It felt like such a daunting task originally (back in 2023). Using the mixed media and taking a break between long segments to read shorter books really helps to keep going.

Big disadvantage to audio books is not knowing how to spell character names. With that being said, I do really like his mentor Rishi Ibrahm.

Im currently at the chapter where they're basically in a pysch ward. I don't think the intention was to make a character with DID, but they actually did a damn good job. No caricatures or stereotypes, just a person who sustained significant trauma and the body ending up coping.

Almost halfway!! I'm waiting for the part where I start to dislike Ari. We have yet to get to that part (yay! /gen).

Its also been a HOT minute since we've had intermission, I wanna know Eloine's thoughts.

And I KNEW that man was evil. I'd have honestly been MORE surprised if he wasn't. But slay Ari, literally, you murdered (whether passively or not) three grown ass men (he is... 15...?).

This author is OBSESSED with "If it bothered [insert character], they didn't show it". I swear every chapter it says this at least once.

I'm starting to notice that I think I like the MC cause he is basically a bard >_< God forbid a girl (gender neutral) love bards. Magic, story, music, intrigue, like... what's NOT to love? Sue me lol

Back on track, new content, here we come!

Almost back to where I stopped three years ago. Still as good as I recall! Still a bit meh on the... more sexual comparisons at time (hella awkward if one of those few sentences happen when serving a customer, omg), but still so obsessed with the thematic storytelling. Its a story about stories, and gods am I a sucker for that. I love stories so much and this book has done so good with it thus far
