All we got were brief hellos and introductions, and a repeated conversation from earlier in the book about Maks’s job in the military.

Where is the substance in this book???

Jasper says how wonderful, welcoming and fun Maks’s family is. Really? How would we know?

So frustrating!!

Maks took Jasper to a family gathering and what we get is a brief interaction of hellos and, “the rest of the afternoon passed in a blur or conversation, jokes, and storytelling.”

This book is so short! It would have been nice to read about some of that gathering so we had a sense of things. Everything is so surface! I’m disappointed.

So we’re getting a dual POV, but the conversation that was between the two MCs in the first chapter is now being repeated in the second chapter. According to Amazon, this book is a short 178 pages. If we’re going to read every conversation twice, this is going to be even shorter…not to mention extremely annoying. I hate when authors do that.

7:15pm, My stomach is hollow for Jasper. Dirty rat bastard and parents needs their comeuppance. Empty and angry. Makscwas an excellent listener.

6:59 pm...took a few breaks, but still loving the storyline. Maks is so sweet and gah, it's good to see Jasper loosening up. It's clear as day how smitten Maks is with him from jumpstreet; so I wait with bated breath to see why Jasper is somewhat cold and uncaring.

Officially warned about triggers, I still opened this ebook excited as I was itching to get either Jasper or Travis's story. Written on my heart was five stars and I am hoping this book lives up to expectations.
