Status Updates From Rosewood: A Midsummer Meet ...

As far as revenge plots go... is this really going to work in Eila's favor?

Oh so there's the Midsummer Night's Dream element. Okay, that date getaway was so adorable. And it seems Eila might finally be loosening up a bit, because she's been under pressure to keep the family together for far too long. And is privilege truly bad if you can use it for good?

Okay, this is getting more interesting. Looks like Lucy has cemented herself as the main antagonist, and she's jealous of Mallika. And what is Rahul doing? Well at least John seems to be a nice guy.

Huh, who's this Heir Allenham? Is it Rahul? John? Brandon? Will? Someone else? And Mal must be really embarrassed. Or is she taking advantage of an unexpected situation?

So we've met our heroine's ravishing rake; Rahul Lee. I like him already. And I can imagine Mal's green regency dress looks so good on her. I wonder how Annie's role as costume assistant will move the story forward. These regency facts are an interesting edition to the story.

Interesting debate between Eila Das "Didi" and Mallika "Mal" on the suggestive nature of Rosewood and similar regency era themed shows. And Eila was quickly accepted into the regency camp. Apparently this book isn't just a multicultural modern retelling of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, but also brings in Jane Austen's novel Sense and Sensibility. I've read the former but not the latter...

This book was fun, but the last act is a bit of a wash.
