Just finished ‘In Thrall to This Good Earth’ by Hailey Piper, and I have to say, I wasn’t a fan of this one. It was odd and sex-filled. I thought it was going to go in a normal direction and it just went weird

Just finished "Brother Cornelius." This is a good one. I wish we could get some more backstory and extended action in this one, but given it is a short story, I have to understand that what is told is going to be limited.

Just finished "Palette" by J.L. Kiefer. Got to say, I am not a fan of this one. There is so much detail that it almost feels unnecessary. And for a story in an anthology of medieval times, this seems out of place, like it could easily be done in any other setting. This is probably because it reminds me so much of "The Red Spot" from Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, which is already based on an urban legend/folktale

Just finished "Angelus" by Philippa Evans. This one starts off slow, and I originally was not a fan of it, but the ending tied it all up so awesomely that I cannot help but love this one as well.

Another book of short stories, another progress update with my thoughts! Just finished "The Crowing" by Caleb Stephens and enjoyed it immensely. A great start to this anthology book
