So far, the exposition has felt a little sloppy and clumsy. Here and there are some small things that could have been caught in editing (Vera being referred to as Vera in narration in one of Matt's chapters BEFORE shes introduced to him by her first name, things like that). Its a lot of telling instead of showing. Hoping that changes soon
