Status Updates From Lady Murasaki's Tale of Gen...

I hate everything about the story, even though I love the art. I'm DNFing it. I'll still try the novel on the reputation of the character psychology and poetry. The novel has a higher average rating, as well, on Goodreads. Suffice to say...the storyline didn't age well 😬

SPOILERS:
This story is just how a bored rich guy seduces every woman and female child in sight. Why would I care about that?

When Genji finally actually falls in love, the art style and language becomes quite dreamy. Lots of poetry.

Genji needs a job. He's clearly bored if all he can think to do is seduce every woman in sight 🤨
