The personal aspects of this book are just awful. Eyes glazing over. The reviews describing this novel as a meandering mess are spot on. This would function much better as a focused novel analyzing the wolves of the world, both in reality and fantasy. Unfortunately, she just keeps talking about men she’s afraid of (rightfully so tho!) & Why are you name dropping Toni Morrison & Isabel Wilkerson…multiple times?

“Learning to listen to my fear was useful, but so too, I was learning, was excavating its roots, tracing its through-lines, and if need be, dismantling it.”
