At first, when reading Jacob‘s references to death I thought it was just symbolic and or vernacular, but I never realize he had a gift similarly to Isaac. Whereas Isaac could talk to the dead, Jacob talks to death.

These are the exact cycles that need to be broken. In Jacob’s case, he still liked women, so no one said anything to him— in addition to the fact that he told no one—but the same doesn’t apply to Isaac therefore he is demeaned.
