Low-key I think the author took several ideas from Tumblr and didn't credit them, I checked the acknowledgements and no credit to Tumblr at all, plus she worked on the book in 2017. If it takes me (who isn't even on Tumblr) to look at this and be like 'yeah I read a post about this exact premise' the author didn't change all that much about it for me to clock it *that* quickly as soon as it's introduced.

I'm already kinda noticing that the way the author talks about the MC's autism makes me think she needs to work through her own feelings of her autism because of the negatively-connotated words she uses to describe simple habits (negative in the sense that she's kinda echoing the thoughts and feelings of others throughout her life and is still projecting their feelings in her work)

I enjoyed the autistic rep, I guess, but the plot was a bit meandering and it definitely wasn’t a standalone. Probably won’t read on, either.
