I feel as though Elliot‘s reaction was a little much. Don’t get me wrong. Since Briar knew Elliot had a crush on Poet, she shouldn’t have done anything with him. But Poet made his feelings clear to Elliot, so this reaction is a little excessive.

“Despite all weight done, my clothes had always stayed on.”

How am I over halfway done with this book and they still haven’t gotten together? Poet is literally known for seducing people. Not that he is seducing her, but still.

WRAP IT UP

Every once in a while, Poet starts narrating the story instead of actually being in the story, and that confuses me a little.

The jester monopolized the attention of every living creature in the room. Their ravenous eyes sketched his form while those elastic abs stretched.
