I like Ethan but Annabelle is so prickly she make a porcupine look cuddly. I just can’t relate to these people with the way they keep secrets and push people away. More soap opera too.

Just finished the first novel. I don’t like that Jake ignored Branna on at least four occasions when she said no about something. He keeps charging ahead anyway and it pisses me off. Not sure why Branna puts up with him. On the whole this story is fairly soap opera in tone. I like the side characters. Hoping the next one is better.
