Status Updates From Kindred

So far so good I'm really enjoying this story. My first Octavia E Butler book and of course I'm intrigued to check out more. I'm really shocked by the simplicity of her writing. I came in with the assumption that her writing was going to be complex with her books being classics and I have an assumption of all classics being hard to read. But I'm glad I didn't let my assumption ruin my curiosity to at least try.
