Status Updates From A Love So Bold

Good story, but it's very slow in certain parts

I have been craving HF with Roger Mortimer for years. This trilogy will give some Roger. The foreshadowing of Izabella and Roger combo by the two MCs was unnecessary. Pity no one will write a book about Zavis of Falkenstein or Joachim Gutkeled, the 13th century seducers of queens who aimed too high.

This is not a great book, it's drawn out, and headhops, but it's million times better than HF books published today. I actually care about these characters.

He was quite mad, she realized--he hated her for what he felt was her betrayal of him. Perhaps he was right--she could never love him. Her only weapon against him was the cold indifference which drove him into a fury. But at what price!

Read the book to understand what the heroine is talking about. Sad that this book is out of print along with many other HF books published in the 20th century.
