Finally got down to reading an Anthony Beevor book. The level of detail is amazing and it definitely feels like a complete guide to one of the most brutal, horrific periods in modern history. Absolutely a part of history that isn’t talked about anywhere near enough.

I definitely found things a bit complicated at times. Missed a bit of narrative clarity but still a good book and certainly more Beevor to come.
