This book would have been my LIFE as a kid- the swimming with the dolphins scenes are straight out of my Lisa Frank Dolphin obsessed sixth grade brain.

Novel in verse about a young girl with cystic fibrosis who feels connected to a dolphin she finds in the creek behind her house. Dad's scientist friend discovers dolphin is sick with same germ as Penny (FMC), which is why it is alone & out of place. Hoping the dolphin heals & is able to return & that Penny gets better also. At this point in the story she is having an episode of hemoptysis.
